What the Other Party Needs to Hear:  Negotiation Strategies for Women

SPEAKER:Laura Tuck Maasdam
Co-Founder, Sixth Wing LLC, Washington, DC
Executive Performance Coach & Negotiation Trainer

Saturday, March 16
8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Location to be announced)
Workshop sign-in -- 8:30 a.m. | Workshop -- 9:00 to Noon | Luncheon with local experts -- 12:15 to 1:30 p.m.

Laura Tuck Maasdam: "The skill of negotiating is both an art and a science. The arts of persuasion, navigating relationships and maintaining awareness are backed by the science of preparation, process, and information.
"We negotiate constantly. From closing a large deal to solving an interoffice conflict, any decision that involves more than one person is a form of negotiation. Time and again, though, we fall into the trap of arguing from our perspective rather than thinking about what the other party wants and needs to hear.
"Through this workshop we will equip you with the mindset, tools, and tactics that ensure you best represent your interests at the negotiating table."

"How to Use Storytelling to Fuel Your Fundraising Efforts"

National fundraising guru Nancy Bocskor will return to Pensacola to teach RELATIONSHIP FUNDRAISING on Saturday, April 27. The near sold-out workshop she taught for us in 2015 was phenomenal and addressed fundraising for nonprofits as well as electioneering.
During this day-long interactive workshop, complete with role-playing, you will learn how to:

  • Build a functioning fundraising operation

  • Ask for money, even if you hate to

  • Use storytelling to build personal relationships

  • Build a powerful finance team

  • Plan fundraising events that actually raise money
